South Pole offers you a very specific and unique skill set to develop new methodologies for emission reduction projects or to revise existing methodologies according to your needs. We have been involved in developing and evaluating over 50 new CDM methodologies (large and small-scale). We see ourselves as innovators in the methodology space, writing methodologies for complex project categories introducing new methodological concepts. We are proud to having written, together with our partners, the first CDM methodology approved by UNFCCC that uses a benchmark for establishing additionality.

Dr. Christoph Sutter who heads our methodology development team was an elected member of the UNFCCC CDM Executive Board’s Methodology Panel from 2005 to 2008. He brings the experience and knowledge of crucial hard and soft factors that are needed to develop a successful methodology.
