South Pole combines carbon market experts from the World Bank and McKinsey & Company Inc., with the founders of myclimate Foundation and 500 PPM Ltd.

<b>Dr. Christoph Sutter</b><br> Christoph has been working on CDM related issues since 1997 and has been a member of the UN CDM Executive Board Methodology Panel for several years. <br>Before co-founding South Pole he was a consultant and carbon finance expert with McKinsey & Company. He holds a Ph.D. in environmental sciences, having written his thesis on CDM sustainability assessment methodologies. <br>
The World Economic Forum (WEF) selected Christoph as a <em>Young Global Leader 2009 to 2013</em>. Christoph is the CEO of South Pole in charge of new growth areas.

<b>Renat Heuberger</b><br> Renat has been working exclusively on the carbon market since 2001. At South Pole he has coordinated the setup of local presences in China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Mexico, and South Africa, and has originated several million CERs and VERs worldwide. <br>Before joining South Pole he was a co-founder and managing director of myclimate.org, a world leader in voluntary carbon offsets. He has worked on numerous assignments for international donors such as GTZ, UNIDO, and the World Bank. Renat was a finalist of the Swiss Social Entrepreneur Awards 2005. <br>At South Pole he is CEO in charge of global operations.

<b>Vanessa Frey</b><br>Vanessa Frey completed her undergraduate studies at the University of St. Gallen in Economics, Business Administration and Law in 2002 before she earned her Master of Science Degree in International Economics and Business, majoring in Finance, from the Stockholm School of Economics in 2004. <br>After graduating she joined the Corporate Finance Team at Handelsbanken Capital Markets in Stockholm followed by a brief stint working for an Asset Manager in Hong Kong. <br>In 2007 she joined Corisol Holding AG based in Zug, Switzerland.

<b>Justin Adams</b><br>Justin Adams is Vice President Strategy and Ventures in BP’s Alternative Energy division. <br>In this role he is responsible for guiding the strategic direction of Alternative Energy, and aligning with the BP Group’s overall long term strategy. His team is also responsible for monitoring development in the cleantech sector. <br>Justin serves on the Board of a number of cleantech and carbon companies including Mendel Biotechnology, Synthetic Genomics, South Pole Carbon Asset Management and E Stack Ltd. Mr Adams joined BP plc. in 2003 as Director of Long Term Technology, prior to joining BP Justin was the founder and CEO of High Power Lithium, he was also an advisor to Konarka Technologies.

<b>Dr. Christoph Grobbel</b><br> Christoph joined South Pole after 12.5 years with McKinsey & Company, Inc. where he worked as a Senior Expert for Emissions Trading and Electric Power & Natural Gas. <br>Christoph holds a MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Karlsruhe University, a MSc in Energy Management & Policy from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and ENSPM, Paris, and a doctoral degree in Economics from Oldenburg University.<br>At South Pole he is the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and is responsible for new business development.

<b>Ingo Puhl</b><br> Ingo has over 14 years experience in climate change policy and market mechanisms. <br>Before joining South Pole he was the managing director of 500 PPM, one of the pioneering companies in the carbon market. Prior to founding 500 PPM he was working for several international institutions such as the World Bank and the International Energy Agency.
<br>At South Pole Ingo is responsible for strategic growth initiatives.

<b>Patrick Bürgi</b><br> Patrick is an engineer and expert in renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. Prior to South Pole he was the carbon offset manager and co-founder of myclimate. <br>At South Pole Patrick is responsible for technical questions and internal guidance on carbon credit projects.
